Vacation part 3

Our trip to San Diego had a few rough patches . Pretty much everyone in my family was sick so it didn't take long before my girls were too and it was horribly rainy almost the whole time we were there. We still did a couple of my favorite things while we were there but it would have been a thousand times better if it had been sunny.
We gave the wild animal park a try and that was sort of a joke. We had about 10 minutes without rain but other than those precious moments it was pouring like crazy.

The tram was hilarious because Dustin and I were on the edges and we got soaked- as you can kind of see from Dustin's arm. It wasn't raining too hard when we got on but after a few minutes into the ride it was coming down so hard, plus it was windy and freezing.
Lila didn't enjoy the tram ride too much but she was a champ.
We went into the lorikeet landing where you can feed the birds and this was the funniest part of the day by far. Because it was a wet cold day at the park there was no one there, this meant that the birds were starving and we were the only ones in there to feed them. Dustin and Jake pretty much got attacked by the birds and eventually both of them threw the rest of their food on the ground just to get away from the birds. It was tough to get pictures, protect the kids, and run for our lives all at the same time so these will have to do.

I thought Lila would be a total wuss in the petting zoo, but she was a champ. She loved the deer, especially the ones that were sleeping.

She was however terrified of this rhino and would not go near it to take a picture with Jake.
We also attempted Lake Poway. This went over a lot better than the Wild Animal Park.

Cade was seriously ready to get in the water with the ducks. In case you can't tell, that is him laying on the dock with his fingers in the water.
It was a little chilly but an absolute gorgeous day there.
This little one really REALLY loves her daddy.
And her cousin Cade too.
I had to throw this picture in to warn everyone that the ducks at Lake Poway are THE most aggresive ducks ever. We were far more afraid of them then they were of us. It was nice to be home and see the fam, but we are hoping that next time we go to San Diego everyone will be healthy and it will be nice and sunny.

Didn't this all go down in JANUARY? I'm just sayin', you've got some catchin' up to do, lady! This was a great post, though. Loved the pictures. :)

Yes. Lake Poway. I fished there quite a bit as a kid. Good times.

So the most recent pics we've seen of you guys are from four months ago. We hear that Launi is double-jointed to an insane degree. We wouldn't know about that. We hear your kids get cuter by the day - we wouldn't know about that.
We don't know what our nieces look like! Please put up an update post - you don't have to write anything; just upload some photos and call it good!
Thank you.
Brotherly yours,
your brother
